Job Summary:
Manage and maintain the organization’s repository of business applications and systems through best practices and the appropriate staffing and management of a technical team. Plan and coordinate the processes required for the provision of business applications and systems necessary to support business unit operations. Apply communication and problem-solving skills to actively assist the business unit management team on issues related to the design, development, deployment and operation of mission-critical information and software systems.
Requirements:
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for the design, development, implementation, maintenance and security of all business application systems.
- Responsible for proposal and contract preparation, cost/benefit analysis, system analysis and design programming and implementation activities for new application initiatives.
- Develop project plans specifying goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans and allocation of available resources.
- Consult with management and review proposals to determine goals, time frames, funding, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements and allotment of resources.
- Formulate and define technical scope and objectives of business applications.
- Establish standards and procedures for reporting and documentation as it relates to business applications.
- Manage and negotiate non-enterprise vendor software contracts and license agreements, with director approval.
- Keep informed on recent developments in the use of IT.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Demonstrate managerial and development experience related to ERP systems and business intelligence.
Strong project management, analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
Demonstrate high-energy level and strong work ethics.
Ability to manage multiple projects and issues to agreed time, resources and cost deadlines.
Excellent customer service, team development, verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills as well as formal presentation skills.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Baan V ERP, Cognos Reporting, MS Project, MS Office and general software development knowledge
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or closely related discipline or equivalent.
- Must have a minimum of three years of overall experience in managing, administering, supporting and monitoring business applications.
- Must have a minimum of seven years of demonstrated development or application experience.
